Sorry about the delay, but all skaia.net mail and XMPP registrations since July 03, 2010 have been processed. I’ve been busy and forgot to check the temporary list. If you haven’t received your registration email, please do not re-register. Contact me directly at andrewneo@skaia.net instead.
The server is back online. IRC has lost all its data. You will need to reregister your nicks and channels. Radio, XMPP and mail forwarding are working normally.
Unfortunately it looks like all the Skaia.net IRC data was lost. This is half my fault (for putting it in a bad directory) and half Linode’s (for the backup not containing the data like it should have). I’m taking this opportunity to upgrade the server to Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. Services should be back online some [...]
Sorry, the server is having some minor issues. Linode upgraded all their accounts to 512mb RAM, so I restarted the server to take advantage of it. When I did, it turns out I put all the IRC stuff in a folder that gets deleted on reboot! So, I’m recovering from last night’s backup (about 4am) [...]
